The most important test to carry out to assess how safe a device is is the containment test. This test is used to determine the operator’s exposure (measured in terms of time) to a specific chemical being handled. The test is carried out in the presence of the operator, and therefore in a dynamic environment.
The dynamic nature of the environment influences the outcome of the test.
Based on the results obtained, it is possible to determine whether collective safety measures need to be improved.
